There are other drugs that gain or lose popularity among users in our region.  Some may come through South Dakota periodically, others tend to slip into near nonexistence after an initial surge of use.

Ketamine cat Valiums, K, Special K, vitamin K Injected, snorted, smoked Increased heart rate and blood pressure, impaired motor function, memory loss, numbness, nausea and vomiting, delirium, depression, respiratory depression and arrest
PCP and analogs angel dust, boat, hog, love boat, peace pill Injected, swallowed, smoked Possible decrease in blood pressure and heart rate or increased heart rate and blood pressure, panic, aggression, violence, loss of appetite, depression,  impaired motor function, memory loss, numbness, nausea and vomiting,
Anabolic steroids Roids, juice Injected, swallowed, applied to skin No intoxication effects.  Hypertension, blood clotting and cholesterol changes, liver cysts and cancer, acne; in adolescents, premature stoppage of growth; in males, prostate cancer, reduced sperm production, shrunken testicles, breast enlargement; in females, menstrual irregularities, development of beard and other masculine characteristics.
